Membership agreement, educational disclaimers, intellectual property rules, and terms governing use of the sSCAPE website and member services.
Please review these Terms of Use carefully before using the website or enrolling in membership. By accessing sSCAPE services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Educational Purpose & No Medical Advice
All content, case conferences, video recordings, presentations, and discussions hosted by sSCAPE are strictly for professional educational and informational purposes. Nothing on this website or presented during events constitutes individual patient medical advice, formal clinical consultation, or standard of care establishment. Licensed healthcare practitioners remain solely responsible for patient diagnosis and treatment.
2. Membership Terms, Dues & Billing
Membership dues are billed annually through Stripe. Active membership grants access to member-only webmeetings, CME credit generation workflows, and the digital video library. Subscriptions renew automatically on an annual basis unless canceled prior to the renewal date via the customer billing portal.
3. Intellectual Property & Digital Library Licensing
Video recordings, presentation slides, syllabus documents, and digital media hosted on sSCAPE are licensed exclusively for the individual, non-commercial professional reference of active members. Unauthorized downloading, public broadcasting, screen recording, re-distribution, or commercial exploitation is strictly prohibited.
4. Patient Privacy & HIPAA Compliance
All users and event presenters agree to comply with federal HIPAA privacy regulations. No identifiable patient health information may be uploaded, transmitted, or discussed. All echocardiographic video clips and case slides must be thoroughly de-identified prior to presentation.
5. Account Security & Credential Sharing
Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their sign-in credentials. Sharing member account access with non-members is a violation of these terms and may result in immediate membership suspension without refund.
6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms of service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
