Data Protection
Privacy Policy
How sSCAPE protects member information, CME verification records, and billing data in compliance with California privacy standards.
sSCAPE is committed to protecting the personal information and privacy of our clinician members. We maintain a zero-data-monetization policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information necessary to maintain your professional membership and issue accredited CME certificates. This includes your name, email address, clinical credentials (e.g., RDCS, MD), hospital/lab affiliation, and webmeeting attendance timestamps.
2. Payment & Billing Data
Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. sSCAPE never stores or processes raw credit card numbers or banking details on our servers. Stripe retains billing details in accordance with Level 1 PCI-DSS standards.
3. How Your Information Is Used
Your data is used solely to provide society services: verifying member access to the video library, generating official CME/CEU transcripts, sending webmeeting join links, and providing renewal notices. We never sell, rent, or monetize member lists with commercial vendors or advertisers.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted infrastructure providers to deliver our services (e.g., Neon Serverless Postgres for data storage, Resend for transactional email delivery, and Stripe for payments). All providers adhere to strict data privacy standards.
5. Data Retention & Account Deletion
You may request a copy of your personal data or request account deletion at any time by contacting hello@sscape.org. We retain CME attendance records for the duration required by credentialing accreditation standards.
